Carleton University Survey August 2026
Thank you for your interest in Rural Transportation Solutions for Ottawa.
Rural Transportation Solutions has been working with Carleton University 4th-year Civil Engineering students to understand the transportation preferences of rural Ottawa residents and to propose affordable solutions for our rural transit needs.
The current research study is examining transportation preferences among residents of rural Ottawa communities. The goal of this research is to model how convenience, travel time and cost influence transportation mode choice in rural Ottawa. You are invited to participate in a survey.
The survey asks about your current travel habits. It presents a series of hypothetical transportation scenarios to understand the preferences for different travel options, including potential on-demand transit services for Ottawa’s rural villages.
The survey will be open from July 27th to August 10th, 2026, and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. To participate, you must be a rural resident, be over the age of 18, and not require the use of Para Transpo.
Participation is entirely voluntary, and you may choose to stop the survey at any time before submitting your responses. This study has received ethics clearance from Carleton University Research Ethics Board B (CUREB-B Clearance #126474).
